I don’t know exactly why, but visiting rosslyn chapel was one of the most memorable things I’ve ever done. They’ve built this huge metal scaffold around it for some reason, saying it allows study of the stones above ground, and it has a roof so I suppose it slows erosion, but it seems a shame to make it look so ugly. It is still well well worth a visit.
