I always hated trying to drink more water because I’m just plain fussy. Water tastes funny to me, even some brands of bottled water. If the tap water has that lake-water taste, I won’t drink it.
What helped was finding a bottled water I like (Ice Mountain), using a filter system for the tap water at home (Brita) and drinking COLD water. Keeping it cold reduces the yuck taste.
The other thing people don’t seem to realize is that to drink more water you have to drink less of everything else. I know it’s a “well, duh” sort of idea, but water isn’t just for workouts. Drink it with every meal. Drink it at work instead of coffee or pop. “Just drink it” (sorry can’t resist the copyright infringement)
