Picked up a copy of the book – second addition.

This is the way to go. I had stumbled and googled around to the point where I could make things happen – but it’s so much more effective to see the right way to make things happen. So much less stumbling.

Have installed mysql, a few generators, followed a few online walk-throughs to create simple yet working data backed examples.

The syntax is insane.

Installed a few editors. Don’t like them.

Have RoR installed in a few different places. Have generated an empty rails app. Found a few rapid learning sites.
