How I did it
How I did it: I found out (from a web search) that if the pigeon's droppings are dark green, the bird is likely dehydrated. You can search the internet for tips on how to get an injured bird to drink or swallow water - there are many. I was able to give mine some small bits of kibble soaked in water, which got enough water into his system to improve his health.
