over the summer, when i had long hair, we tried to do this, and the dye didn’t hold very well. we bleached it out and used two tubs of manic panic, but the dye just didn’t seem to hold in my hair. this time, after bleaching, i got a squeeze-bottle of what was supposedly “raspberry kamikaze” dye, and, at the end of the rinse-out period, it was definitely pink.

i’m thrilled. i do believe i’ll keep the pink as it grows out, and maybe eventually throw some black & blonde streaks into it.

i was completely nervous about sending in my application at all, but one day i took the camera out, threw my attitude on, and got the process rolling. my acceptance e-mail made me squeal. loudly.

since then, i’ve chosen a name, gotten two new ear piercings, and dyed my hair neon pink. but i still haven’t gotten to photographing my first set.

—but i can’t wait.

i have four dresses of the variety that make a girl feel like a princess the second she puts them on. but because they’re that kind of dress, of course they never get worn.

i do believe i ought to take a trip to the mall in one.
