It was fun and we got to see how the absinthe is made in this small distillery. There’s a LOT of different herbs that go into it – although each distillery has their own recipe. It was fun to watch and try…but I don’t like licorice and, since the one mandatory ingredient is wormwood Artemisia absinthium, that’s what it tastes like. It is very potent, even when watered down with the 5:1 ratio we were recommended. Just the taste tests gave me pretty good buzz. It is legal in the U.S. now (not sure where it’s still illegal) and this distillery is working through a distributor to make it available in the U.S. this year. We brought a bottle back of the really good (green) style back with us and I have a sip now and again. I loved this distillery and the tour we took. Anyone going to Switzerland should check it out. It was small and intimate and we felt like we were the only people who had come through there in days. I’ll upload a picture of the distillery’s absinthe label, so you can look for it if you’re interested in purchasing some. Your local wine store should be able to order it from the distributor.

How I did it: I finally found a class that meets at a time that I can commit to. For me, that's evenings. This class meets from 8-9pm on Tues. and Thurs. I can put away my to-do list at that point of the evening and give myself the rest of the night off. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I don't really care if you cover your body with ink or kiss in the rain. Good for you that you have somebody to kiss. And your tattoos are your business, not mine. The swimming with dolphins thing still galls me a little, but I guess it doesn't hurt anyone. Do what you want. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I gave into it. It took a long time to accept that there are disappointments that you can't fix. There are situations that you just have to live with and get through. After I got through that, new opportunities came out of the blue. Read how I did it…

I need to figure out what I want for myself – option A (what I have now) or option B (conventional, easier, less rewarding, more fulfilling)? Option B has one clear advantage. I’m just not sure I can give up what I have for something so common. I’m fairly sure that (for me, at least) Option A and Option B are mutually exclusive. It’s hard to think about, but I must.
I went running this afternoon. It was a pretty good run, too. I really need to get a pedometer so I can figure out how far I’m really running.
