Okay, I moved to Houston, TX in 2003 because of love, and I’m still here. I was planning on only being here for a couple of years, and here I am still because I got a good job as a professor here. Even with my good job that I love, I still miss California so much. Thejustini’s comments mirror mine exactly. It’s nice to read about other people in the same situation. I sometimes feel so alone in my life out here as my boyfriend is not from CA. All of my best friends are in CA and my mom, and I feel more and more removed from them each year. I visit quite a bit, at least 3 times a year, but it’s just not enough. Anyway, it’s nice reading what all of you have written. I get down about not living there anymore. I’m working towards moving back with jobs and all, so hopefully something works out…
