How I did it: We have an orange tree in the back but we never eat the oranges because they are relatively sour. I was concerned that this would effect the way the orange peels tasted but to my surprise they were quite good. It is time consuming because you have to wash and slice all of the orange peels but its a simple process of blanching the peels and then boiling them in a simple sugar solution. I dipped mine in chocolate for an ad… Read how I did it…
How I did it: In the end this is what I ended up making:*candied orange peels*orange flavored syrup*beef and salmon jerky*fabric Christmas tree ornaments*fudge*cookiesOverall I'm satisfied with the results and I had fun in the process! Read how I did it…
How I did it: I got a used food dehydrator off of Freecycle and decided to give it a try. We got 1.5 of lean beef and found a recipe that called for soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper, and smoke sauce. I was a little skeptical but I let it marinade for 24 hours and threw it in the dehydrator. To my amazement, the jerky is wonderful! Better than the stuff you get at the store. I am so happy my first attempt worked out! Read how I did it…

I was resistant to this book for so many reasons. I mean really, I’m too old to be reading vampire high school romances. But then my friend bought it for me for my birthday and my curiosity got the better of me. I almost gave up reading it after the first 1/3 of the book but I have to say that I really got into it towards the end. It was not the best piece of literature but it was entertaining and brainless…just what I needed over vacation.
