I somehow got suckered into going to a chiropractor (not that that’s the crazy part), but one of those chiropractors who believe in it like it’s the one true religion and DD Palmer is their only prophet.
But… as crazy at they are (and they are crazy) I think my posture has improved and it no longer hurts to get adjustments. Once I’m through with my appointments there, I’m going to find someone covered by my insurance and who isn’t trying to indoctrinate me.

How I did it: Filled out an application for a working holiday visa. Received an approval. Started packing up my life, getting rid of my apartment and putting everything else on hold. I bought a ticket and plunged into the unknown. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have no idea how I did it, I've been trying to learn for years and it seems like it should have worked several times before, but this time... it just all came together. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had a morning routine: wake up and deal with the cats, then roll out the yoga mat and do some stretches. After stretching, do Sun Salutes and Warrior poses. As I got more and more used to this routine I looked up poses online to add to my repertoire so I wouldn't get bored with it. Read how I did it…

I’ve been doing yoga on and off for a while now, and I thought I knew what it felt like to open my chest and stand tall, but jeez Louise, now I know I’ve been doing it wrong this entire time at boy is it hard.
Now I’m trying to keep my shoulders back ALL THE TIME and constantly thinking to myself, “tuck, tuck, tuck” to keep my tail under and feel my chest, stomach and lower front opening, stretching and strengthening. I just hope I don’t look so stiff that people think I’m wearing a back brace.
I want to help a rural community build and sustain itself, but I don’t want it to be under the banner of the American Government. I have also realized that if helping people is something I really want to do, then I should start with my own community instead of traveling to find them.
