I’ve been doing yoga on and off for a while now, and I thought I knew what it felt like to open my chest and stand tall, but jeez Louise, now I know I’ve been doing it wrong this entire time at boy is it hard.
Now I’m trying to keep my shoulders back ALL THE TIME and constantly thinking to myself, “tuck, tuck, tuck” to keep my tail under and feel my chest, stomach and lower front opening, stretching and strengthening. I just hope I don’t look so stiff that people think I’m wearing a back brace.

How I did it: I found an adult continuing education class at the local community college and signed up. Unfortunately, they cancelled the level II class, so I had to take the level I with the expectation that I would be doing more advanced lessons. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had heard about it and finally decided that no job is worth putting off something that could prove to be an awesome experience. I signed up for a course and told my boss and co-workers that I would be gone for two weeks at the end of the month. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I sprouted soy beans (a LOT of soy beans) for three days (well, soaked for one, sprouted for two), and on the third day blended beans and water in a specific ratio till all the beans were blended. Squeezed out all the extra material produced by the beans (okara, save it for later) through cheesecloth a couple of times and then simmered the milk for half an hour.Sieved once more, let it cool, put it in containers and added a little bit of … Read how I did it…

I want to help a rural community build and sustain itself, but I don’t want it to be under the banner of the American Government. I have also realized that if helping people is something I really want to do, then I should start with my own community instead of traveling to find them.
Completed September 2006, although I can’t say it was a very successful dance party
