Epoxies resins have a higher (exo-thermic) reaction temperature compared to other resins and it can discolour a flower. This is not to say it cannot be done even with epoxies. Different flowers have different natural pigments that make them coloured and this colour is not always so lightfast (light/heat). There are many ways to keep the flower coloured which can be a little more advanced and better to do later on, for example : 1) freeze drying to lock colour sometimes works, or 2) doing a process called wetting down, or 3) using different types of resins and lowering heat and setting agents. 4) finding flowers that are more lightfast and temp resistant. Sounds like thing are going well , it did set. Experimenting is the key. L

Insight

The last charity work i did was different to the last time. This was at a soup kitchen. I think the diversion from paid work , my life and the change of environment was repaid by making me feel like it was not about charity. The amount of helping and giving ( just being there ) was proportionate to the insight, and i now definately view everything that matters more than ever.

After i find a book about ‘making more time to do things!’ I will attempt to write a book , about art of course. I suppose just writing a page or two a week could help!
