Go to the dentist (read all 2 entries…)
Well, that was quick 21 months ago

I guess all I had to do was complain about my apathy on the internet to motivate myself. I’ve placed the call to a Dentist that a co-worker recommended. I’ve got an appointment for 9:15 next Thursday.

Woo frickin’ hoo. Now I just have to work out how the whole insurance thing works. My job’s dental insurance is one of those reimbursement plans, so I have to pay for it up front, submit some paperwork, and then they send me a check for the portion that they cover. Good thing I’ve got a credit card now. Who knows how long this’ll take?

Do a GeniusRocket Project
Is it crazy? 21 months ago

To think that maybe I could actually win one of these things? I dunno. The past few months have seen my creativity come to a bit of a standstill and I really want to find a project I can feel good about. Maybe creating free ads for Nutrisystem isn’t exactly the thing worth doing. But it seems like a fairly low maintenance way to stimulate my imagination-bone.

I'm kind of ashamed of this one 21 months ago

But, hey, what’s better for motivation than public humiliation, right? I haven’t visited the dentist since I was in college. I am now over 30 years old. I brush my teeth every day and even floss every now and then. When I was a kid my teeth were “sealed,” which is this thing they do where they fill up all the cracks in your teeth with some sort of polymer. Apparently, the cracks are where all the cavities form.

But, regardless, I haven’t been to the dentist in over 10 years. I really need to make this a priority.
