I traveled around Asia for 6 months this year – the other side of the world for me – and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. Once I worked up the courage to quit my job, put my stuff in storage, and get over the fact that I would probably be way older than the other backpackers, I booked my tickets, said my goodbyes and took off! It was an amazing and eye-opening experience! I’m so happy I did it!

ok – step in the right direction. I was in Chicago a couple of weekends ago, and while I was there I went to the Art Institute. I was mostly in the European section, which was incredible. I stopped by the American galleries and I was a little disappointed that American Gothic was on loan..I felt like I was running through the galleries, since I didn’t have much time before closing. Will schedule more time for my next visit!

I originally wanted to relax at the spa for my birthday, but my husband just didn’t seem enthusiastic about it – especially not the yoga spa I was the most interested in (he can barely touch his toes). So instead, we went to Chicago for a fabulous weekend away. What a great city – we had a wonderful time!
