I was there (obviously) when I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. I went on a safari as well, but there is so much more in the country that I want to see!! It’s beautiful and the people are friendly. I fell in love with it and I can’t wait to get back someday!

How I did it: I thought it was a dumb idea when I first heard about it. I caught part of an episode in the first season, which piqued my interest and shocked me when I found out that it was Battlestar Galactica that I was watching. My brother recommended it, so I made a point to watch an episode, got hooked, caught myself up on what I had missed, and faithfully followed the show until it's end. Read how I did it…
Leaving in two weeks – July 14th!! After a year and a half of planning, I can hardly believe it’s almost here!
Spring Break 2001, my freshman year of college, I went to Egypt with my dad. During the five days we were there, we saw most of the main, well-known sites which included the Pyramids at Giza, Saqqara, and Dahshur. We went in the Great Pyramid (Khufu’s), Menkaure’s pyramid, and also Sneferu’s pyramid (also known as the Red Pyramid).
Definitely worth doing, though I would say that if you ever get over there, you should see as much as you possibly can. The pyramids are awesome, but there are so many other things to see too!
If I ever manage to get back there, I’d love to be able to climb the Great Pyramid. It’s not allowed, but I’m sure there are exceptions to that :)
