I read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson… I didn’t actually rate it as much as I thought I would. The murder plot was interesting if a little crazy, but I found all the stuff about the magazine back story just boring to be honest.

Absolutely brilliant… I bawled my eyes out at the end and my boyfriend thought I was a weirdo when I phoned him still crying to tell him about this fabulous book.
1. I love how he texted me to warn me the roads are icy and to be careful on my way to work – then asked me to text him when I got there to check I was ok.
2. I love how he makes me a cup of tea and brings it to me in bed every morning.
3. I love how he rubbed cream on me when I was all itchy to make me feel better.
4. I love that he’s big and tall and makes me feel small (difficult when you’re 5’8”!) and my head fits perfectly in his armpit.
5. I love to tickle and kiss his teddybear tummy – it’s cuddly and brown and hairy!
6. I love that we always have one TV programme that we watch together and neither of us will watch it without the other.
7. I love how obsessively tidy he is – and how he gets all funny and starts cleaning things when I stay over and leave my clothes all over his floor.
8. I love how different we are.
9. I love how he always tries to fix things that are broken for me.
10. I love going for long walks with him in the woods and playing shakey tree and imagining we had a little dog to take with us.
To me, a happy healthy relationship is one where:
1. You both listen to what each other is really saying and try to understand each other as best you can.
2. There are no lies and you are both totally honest and can trust each other completely.
3. You make time for each other and do little things to make the other person feel special.
4. You both maintain outside friendships as well and keep your own social life going.
I feel like my relationship at the moment is happy and healthy :)
We’ve been together over a year and still not been away together yet! I think it would be a good test… to see whether we can get on when we are away from everything and only have each other.
I was shaking so much with nerves that the needle kept nearly falling out of my arm – one of the nurses had to hold my arm still. But it’s such a good thing to do, I just had to do it. It’s not as bad as you expect either! :)
I went waterskiing for the first time and the instructor said I was a ‘natural’ – maybe I should go again soon and try to get good at it! :)
Today I hid a bag of chocolate kisses I had brought back from New York for him and also a love note I had written behind his laptop for him to find when he closed it later.
We broke up after a year and a bit together because I moved away to university. He’s already found someone new and won’t even come visit me without consulting her first. I don’t think he’s the same person any more, and I can’t complete this goal about him (which is a shame because I started this goal!) Maybe at some point in the future I will meet someone else special and be able to do this for them, but at the moment it seems like everyone here at uni is just out for a shag!
51. How he drove me home today – a round trip of an hour, even though he was ill, just so I wouldn’t have to hang around waiting for the train and so he could spend more time with me :)
52. I love the way I still want to kiss him when he’s all gross and ill with a runny nose, and getting the cold seems a small price to pay for it
53. He took me to Tesco when I had Ben and Jerry’s cravings, then when it was closed, took me to another one miles away :)
54. He said he’d do anything for me and gave me a really cute little smile – I can see he means it and it makes my heart go squooshy :)
55. How he’s so comfortable to fall asleep with, cuddled up on the sofa
I got another pub job, and it was 4 nights a week for three months, which was better. However, I don’t think it was very useful for my future, so I’m going to have to give up on this one for now :s
I didn’t do it :( Got into my second choice uni though, so I’m pretty happy still :)
so I may have to work on this goal sooner rather than later!
He left me loads of messages and texts to read when I got back from holiday and came over straight away because he couldn’t wait to see me!
How he gets all shy and bashful when I tell him how sexy he is and jump on him :)
47. He’s a big softie and was really proud of himself when he saved a baby bird from being killed in a chipper.
48. He tries to be romantic :) and even when it doesn’t work it’s funny and brings us closer together
I had a phone call yesterday firing me from the pub because ‘I couldn’t be trusted to open the pub by myself’. I’m so angry… I’ve never done anything wrong to deserve that and because I only got ONE DAY’s NOTICE it’s screwed over my plans for paying for the holiday I booked based on the money I would be getting :(
ARRRGH!
