I started toward my goal and have this to report: I opened a booth at Ashland Artisan Emporium called Mixed Vintage. My booth is 12 feet across, 3 feet deep and 8 feet tall. This Holiday season, I offered stuffed animals, clothing, jewelry, decor. The customer response has been positive and I have sold 80 items totaling $000.00 with prices between $150.00 and .99¢. My first of my seasonal (Christmas items) Markdowns were 20 percent off, and customers seemed to respond. I am pleased with the feedback from my fellow vendors and the owner too. My personal goals include improving my display skills to create a minimalist feel with tons for sale, inspiring my consignors to place more awesome items in Mixed Vintage, to stay in touch with and get to know more Vendors, to get customers to leave a note in my guestbook. Create business cards, and sell $000.00 per month, open a Mixed Vintage checking account, and to get a special order.

How I did it: First I joined my local freecycle group through yahoo groups. Then I learned the rules for posting free items. Then I posted items I wanted to give away for free at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/AshlandORFreecycleI responded to phone calls and people came to take away what I did not want or need any more. How I did it: I helped my "team Captain" raise money for blood cancers research; I hosted a fundraiser and posted my results on light the nightwebsite. We walked with 20 or 30 friends and family and even people who had never met my Sister. Her Widower was/is enthousiastic about helping other families who face the struggle to survive a blood cancer too. Read how I did it…
My job is done. My family member came and went . We had a whirlwind couple of years together and now she’s moved on to her own city of choice! This was a hugely satisfying time: I truly gained a new friendship during this time!
