There is nothing more cool than having your four year old bring you a book and then proceed to ‘read’ it to you. This is the reward for all those pages turned before they were done and books read 72 times in a row. They remember they learn and I am so proud!

It was going so well, and then the slump hit. Run #1 of week 6 was run 10 walk 1. It was 8K!! and we did it, but I could tell at the time that it was too much, too quick. We talked about pulling back and running 7 instead of the 10, but didn’t. Should have. I could barely walk for the next two weeks – hips, ankles, knees all sore. Since then we have only run twice and neither was really good. We did try again tonight but it didn’t go well – Ophelia is bringing lots of rain it was too cold so we finished early with only about 3K under our belts. None the less we are NOT going to quit!!!
Had an awesome camping trip with my family this week – perhaps the key to enjoying camping is to know a little bit about how to camp and to love the company a lot?? Also having the right gear helps….
