How I did it: My husband has Greek background, so for Valentine's Day I surprised him with two new Greek recipes! They were so yummy, and I got one of them from Food Network's Everyday Italian (they had a special Greek themed episode)I made Crispy Smoked Mozzerella with Fig and Honey Sauce and Pork Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce. How I did it: I've been going to Library weekly pretty consistently the past 6 months. My mother in law and I meet weekly for coffee or lunch to discuss whichever novel we've decided to read together. It's so nice to read different types of books, considering we have to find books that interest both of us. It's so fun, and gives me something to look forward to doing with her each week. Huge car repairs and a huge dental bill hit us all at once this month.
I feel a little hopeless in getting ahead. We don’t have a lot of credit between the two of us—-but the cards we do have are close to full, and we had to dip into savings as well. I’m so discouraged.
I know we’ll make it back up. It’ll just be awhile.
We have a small amount of credit card debt that we’re trying to pay off. It’s chipping away slowly but surely, but I’d like to see it gone in a few months.
Also, we’re only 2 years into our 5 year loan on our Ford Focus. Once the credit card debt is gone, we’ll start chipping away at our car loan debt, and hopefully we can pay it off early.
At the very least I’ve started playing my piano each morning to keep up some sort of practice. It’s improved my mood to be playing again, though I do miss playing with a band.
