I’m dreaming a new dream, in a new way.
I’m paring down. Simplifying my life & even my dream life.
I removed 3 goals: novel, stage play & French. (All great goals, but all were current SHOULDs & I don’t want to deal with SHOULDs right now.)
I want to travel the world – & even my town – with backpack, ukulele, sketchbook, fountain pen. Art box, with paints and pastels.
Low maintenance, self-contained. Arms open to the world!
I’ve started doing something fun – a list! – that also helps me with my blog: I write down the things that I talk about, or have a hankering to talk about.
As silly as these topics sometimes seem, they are topics. They are MY topics.
I think this is the BIG one for me right now.
It combines the main things that are making me happy right now: writing, playing music, singing, sharing.
I had a great & amazing dream the other night: I was at an art gallery & I was in a Bob Dylan painting, which was also a room. The painting was a room, with benches built into the wall all around. I was in there, and Bob Dylan was there too, near the door. He was Bob Dylan, and we were together in his painting – not together, but companionably together.
I got a big buzz from that dream. I’m the Bob Dylan. I write & sing my songs & hang out in my own painting. (You know, the idea is that we are every person in our dreams. They are all, of course, US.)
