Still Reading!
I’ve certainly been reading a lot lately! I’ve been rereading classic books that I was required to read in high school. I’ve read Of Mice And Men, The Great Gatsby, To Kill A Mockingbird, and The Catcher in the Rye. Each one only took me a day or two to read from start to finish. My favorites of these books are To Kill A Mockingbird and The Catcher in the Rye.

It took me but a week to start and finish the sequel to Eragon. A real page turner, it was difficult to put down! Now I have to wait until September 23 for the next book to come out to find out what happens next. I think I’m doing well with “reading more often”.

I finally finished Utopia last night! I was understanding it better and better as I read it. It would seem that I don’t really need the Cliffs Notes I purchased to go along with it, but I think I’ll skim them anyways in case I missed anything. It’s definitely a book every political candidate should have already read and understood! Ahhh….if our world could be more like Utopia…

I finished The DaVinci Code just now. I remember the movie being just a little different. I’ll have to watch it again to check up on the differences between it and the book.

I’ve decided to give myself a rest from struggling to get through Utopia. Instead, I started The Da Vinci Code this evening. I saw the movie, so I already know how it ends, but so far the book is giving out much more detail than the movie did.

I’m still reading Utopia, although I’m not sure what I’ve been doing can be considered reading. Basically, the book has been sitting around the house unread (well, half read). I haven’t been very good about “reading more often” lately…

Started reading Utopia over the weekend. It’s going to be tougher to get through than I thought it would be. I’ve ordered the Cliff’s notes for it to help me understand what the heck is going on in it. :o)

I finished “In The Dark of the Night”, by John Saul, today. The story could have been more developed. This wasn’t one of John Saul’s better books…

I started another book today. This one’s called “In the Dark of the Night” by John Saul. So far it’s pretty interesting, although there are a lot of characters to remember and I’m only on Chapter 4.

I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It was a good book, but would have been better without the Epilogue at the end.

I know I haven’t written anything on this goal for about a year. I’ve actually been doing much better at this as long as I’m sitting in a straight-backed or office chair rather than on an easy chair or couch. (In fact, I’m sitting up nice and straight as I write this!) Not quite ready to say I’ve done this goal, but I AM ready to say I’m much better at it!

I received Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Saturday and started it on Sunday. So far, I’m about half way through it. Excellent book!

I just finished the book Eragon by Christopher Paolini. It was really good. Now I want to see the movie based on it. As for my next book to read, I think I’ll probably just wait until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes in the mail on Saturday.

I finished the book Wicked, by Gregory Maguire, today. I have plenty of time before HP7 comes in the mail, so I think I’ll go ahead and start Eragon.

Yesterday I got through quite a bit of “Wicked – The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” by Gregory Maguire. It starts out with the Wicked Witch watching Dorothy and her entourage and then flashes back to before she (the Wicked Witch) is born. Right now the part I’m reading is about her being in University. Quite interesting!

I just finished rereading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Now I’m really looking forward to when HP7 comes out! I plan to read either “Wicked – The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West” or “Eragon” in the meantime.

I just finished Chapter 22 (out of 30 chapters) in my HP6 book. I’m sure I’ll be more than ready when the new HP book comes out in a little over a month!

Just finished Chapter 14 out of 30 chapters in HP6. Of course, I’m not “officially” halfway through the book until I read one more chapter, but I still consider that I’ve about half finished it. Still can’t wait for HP7 in about another month and a half! :D
