i read a phrase similar to this long ago. it strikes me as funny and sad at the same time.
my husband and i emigrated to canada last week and although we’ve been preparing for the move for almost a year, the saying that “you’re never going to be completely ready” simply applied. we still scrambled packing all our stuff, we still left some things undone, i’m still wishing i had some things to do over again so the move would me much smoother. but that’s just how things are. no matter how you anticipate everything, surprises will still occur and you simply have to adapt.
oh, oh, i still haven’t downloaded ebtg’s adapt or die album – i dunno if i can do much downloading here though….

i finally got a decent college teaching gig. i’m starting tomorrow and the last addition the loads given to me was short film. it’s both exciting and a little daunting but i can’t wait!
i think i’d like to learn several languages like japanese, at least one chinese dialect, spanish (afterall i’ve taken 6 units of spanish – still not much luck though) and german. tell me where/how to start!
