a tiny painting in the louvre of a young woman with her hair shaved and her arms crossing her naked chest and part of her face. i was paralysed for about 45 minutes, my legs struck with pain. i very slowly woke up and my eyes hurt as well. a sign on the wall somewhere advised against stendhal.
