I’ve managed to sort the counter tops, one major cupboard, the freezer and half the refrigerator…plus do the dishes. It may not sound like much but it is a start and I am pretty proud of myself right now!

My sister told me during the summer about Kiva and its micro-credit loans. I looked at their website and then they slipped from my radar. A chance comment on another site made me go back… and make two small loans to two projects. It felt great!
I have been fighting a gambling problem (and generally beating it, thank goodness!) – one of the ways I have found is to go to a site like Greater Good More and donate the $20 or $25 I would have put into online gambling to one of their projects, such as sending 2 girls in Afghanistan to school for a year, or a month of high-nutrient food for babies. Instead of my losing it to some creepy virtual casino owner, the money can actually help someone.
I’ve started by making a list of what is in my pantry cupboard… including having to throw out things that were out of date already in 2005. And this is 2009. Shows me how often I look in my cupboard!
