How I did it: I was going to a night class for 2 years and realised that the people I was going with, over time, had become a group of really good friends.  As we are so different in  many ways; different backgrounds, different life outlooks and ambitions and we live scattered over the county it suprised us as well but we work at it. I'm blessed for having them in my life Read how I did it…

How to get my driver's license

How I did it: I tried to learn to drive on 3 seperate occasions the third time I found an instructor who I really clicked with.  I have dyspraxia which means that my spatial perceptions are a tad off but with the help of my instructor I managed to find marks inside the car which helped me to judge me distances.  I started out having 2 hour intensive driving lessons then after a while dropped it back to 1. How I did it: I kept 1 in my bag hidden inside a purse so should I give in there would be no need to buy a whole packet. Progress Update 2 months ago

Well the placement back in May went off the boil mainly due to technical problems although it looks like it might now be back on. In the meantime I’ve signed up to training with CRUSE Bereavement Care. I’ve done their ABC Course which is just amazing made me realise a couple of things about myself that I didn’t realise I was still holding to onto. I have my interview with them next week so all fingers, thumbs and toes crossed in the meantime.

Progress update 2 8 months ago

I’m in the middle of doing my Advanced Diploma in Counselling and have finally found a placement – hurrah!

Will start my placement in Mayish time – have to get the legal side of things sorted first – CRB checks and the likes

Also have the possibility of doing some bereavement counselling training/ placement later in the year

Things are finally moving!
