I love to sew. Learned it as a child, and now teach sewing. It’s wonderful to watch people just brighten up, and come ALIVE as they begin to focus their creativity into sewing and making their own creations come to fruition.
If this is one of your goals, Do it!
Find a teacher who has her own sewing machines, so you don’t have to buy one right away, and take a class.

How I did it: A friend's mother taught me. We would sew in the afternoons, after school, and on weekends. She was so patient and kind. I sewed a lot of clothes in high school. I make roman shades, purses, cushion covers and clothes. Today, I teach sewing and weaving and other fiber arts. In my spare time, I sew. It's just that satisfying! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Got a machine, got together with a friend who sews, and off we went! You can also visit websites like threadbanger for some very creative ideas. Check craigslist for a teacher, or just get a machine and jump in! Read how I did it…
How I did it: We took an Rv trip to the Grand Canyon. We spent some few nights in the RV, but mostly stayed with friends, or in Hotels and lodges. We ate well, laughed, drove and drove and drove, and worked crossword puzzles. It was wonderful. Read how I did it…
