That day was nearly 7 years ago. I was fourteen years old and I had just met this boy over the Internet. He lived in VA and I lived in IL. Two years went by and I tried to get him to come to my sophomore homecoming with me, it was going to be the first time we met. Things went wrong and I never got to meet him. Because of the distance we had been off and on all throughout these past 7 years, but we always knew we were supposed to be together. So february 7th I took a drive 13 hours away from home to see him. After nearly 7 years I was able to be next to him, hold him, kiss him and just feel him next to me. I have never in my life felt so perfect.

How I did it: I just sat down one day when I felt the anxiety coming and took long deep breaths until I could calm myself down. I separated myself from what was causing the problem until I could calm down and figure out a way to solve what was wrong. I feel so much better about handling things now. Read how I did it…

I always remember wanting to be able to move in from something someone did to me but no matter what it was i could never seem to do it. I finally realized that part of me wanted to always have something to blame for why i felt or acted the way i did and i had to learn how to accept that. And with acceptance of that came the ability to keep others and past events from holding me down. I feel so great now :)
Every day I woke up and told myself I was a beautiful person inside and out. I’ve become so much more confident and happy now that I have more belief in myself. :D
