I’m going to be dealing with this off and on my whole life, but I know that I can handle it. It took me 18 years and 6 suicide attempts and 2 hospitalizations and six years of trying about 14 different meds….but I’m finally ok. It feels different and a bit unfamiliar, but I am getting used to it and liking it more and more. I can focus and I don’t cry all the time and life is much less overwhelming. And I’ve found that I’m still me—I don’t feel any less creative or honest or even less cynical sometimes. And maybe I’ll fall back into the disease, and maybe it’ll still get me in the end, but for now, I’m happy. And knowing that I can feel happy is awesome.

Long enough to not want to date anymore?
Long enough to be ok with not dating?
Until I find someone worth dating?
And does this mean no going on dates at all or just no serious dating?

I should find a more clear goal.
