The lips and tongue go almost entirely numb in a similar sensation to tasting cocaine. This is called in popular culture, “The Taste of Death.” If this does not occur in around ten to fifteen seconds, according to some connoisseurs, then the toxin is not present.

I am learning to play the ocarina type more commonly known in chinese as a xun, and in japanese as a tsichibue, which is basically the same in shape as that portrayed in the Zelda games. It is, I believe, the shape which is thousands of years old, and not the new, flute-pendant design. There should be a difference in sound- could anyone give contrasting samples?
