I’ve been working on this for some time now. Even when money and time are factors it’s nice to say “yes”, to get out of the house more, to spend more time with friends and family, to learn more about yourself and others, to meet new people… Yes is almost always a good thing! This is, of course, a process, but I am glad to have the freedom right now in my life to say yes and to do whatever, whenever I want!

How I did it: I moved about 3.5 hours away from my friends and family to a big city where I knew very few people. I remembered I had these great monogrammed notecards and got to writing. I loved going to the drug store and picking up cards that reminded me of my friends I missed so much and post cards of interesting places near me. I also reconnected with family I hadn't seen or talked to in maybe 20 years. I really liked getting the mail in return too… Read how I did it…
How I did it: There came a time when I realized I was alone. I missed all of my friends and didn't even know where many of them were. I moved, they moved, I was married and had my "own" life. One day I woke up! With the help of MySpace and Facebook I was able to reconnect with friends I had lost! Some of us were back in the same city and hang out regularly! Others will come visit and I am hoping to visit them soon. No matter the time and space between … Read how I did it…
I’ve been on a search for my “passion” for a long time. I worked in Human Services and learned that I really liked to help people. I thought about social work but decided that really wasn’t the way I wanted to go. I’m working in the medical field again and really think that nursing will be the right path for me. I’m not sure what route I’d want to take once I get my license but I know it will be great and I will be great. I am in the process of enrolling in school. Since I already have a Bachelor’s degree it will only take 5 semesters to get my BSN. I do have some classes to take before I can be accepted into the school of nursing though. Because I am working full time it will probably take closer to 10 semesters to finish, but if I come out with a career I am okay with that.
I hate this. I was exercising at least 3 times a week and really loving it! I could even tell a change for the better in my body and my energy levels. ...then I moved. When I moved to a different state I couldn’t transfer my gym membership and the same gym in this state is much much more expensive. At this point I can’t afford it. (hopefully when I acheive my previous goal of saving money I can) Soon it will be a perfect temp to walk outside and there are actually 2 trails right by my house… I know I can do this. I really just need to get re-motivated.
