In my World Religions class a few yrs ago, we were required to attend a church outside our own faith. I went to a Cathloic high school and was raised Catholic so a friend and I went to a LDS Church, and the people were very welcoming and completely “normal.” Some parts of the service took us by surprise, but overall, it was pretty similar to a Catholic Service. It was really cool to experience another branch of my Christian faith, and compare, and to see a community so immersed in God’s love. I’ve also been to non-denominational services and services of other Christian denominations, but I’d really like to visit more, especially those that are not Christian, to experience the ways others worship one, universal GOD. How cool!

they were exceptionally hard to find, and the ones I did very way too pricey for my tastes. I’ll probably put one together DIY style. Attached is my ideal one, a vintage replica from the 60’s, but it’s sold out….
Wow, am I glad I got to take part in what was an historical election! I’m not too into politics but I did my research. As a soon-to-be elementary education teacher, Obama was a great candidate (even officially supported by the National Education Association), and many of his fundamental beliefs lined up with my own personal beliefs. I’m praying for him and the betterment of our country all the time, and I’m priviledged to have been able to show my support in a concrete way. (And he won! :D) Also, this was the first time I could vote in a presidential election!!
