Cook books 4 weeks ago

So far this semester I’ve been trying to cook out of a cookbook and it’s going well! At first foods here and there would burn or be too tough but I think I’m finally getting the hang of it!

About two weeks ago the chicken I cooked turned out perfect! I was so happy and so was my boyfriend. Last week I cooked a sort of Asian dish that called for Ramen noodles! A college kid’s dream, right?!

I’m getting the basics down, eating out less, and spending less on outside food. Next I hope to learn some awesome Thai recipes from my mom!

My exercise regimen is a bit chaotic at the moment and I can’t seem to get into a good workout routine. Also I forget when the last time I exercised was and it turns into days and weeks until I workout the next!

So I’ve decided to try and track my progress through Twitter. I hope this can help me keep up with working out and watch the pounds melt away!

Save up enough money to attend my friend's wedding in Ontario, Canada (read all 3 entries…)
Summer is over. Drumroll please! 3 months ago

Ok so I spent the summer working at Lifetime Fitness and GameStop. I was trying to save enough money to get a plane ticket up there but I waited too late and the tickets became very expensive!

I freaked out for a bit but ended up with Greyhound bus tickets to Canada! Yup we’re spending a day and a half on a bus from Dallas, TX to Ottawa, Ontario! Gotta bring a lot to read!

So that’s it. I’m going to my friend’s wedding!

Edit/

Since it won’t let me post a “How I did it” page I’ll just put it here for now.

“I had to get another job that gave me more hours and higher pay. I worked around 20hrs a week and kept my spending to a minimum.

The plane tickets ended up being too much money so I opted for bus tickets. I had to rearrange the time I intended to spend away from home, even missing my first day of classes (aka syllabus day!).

Remember, don’t procrastinate! Traveling takes planning and time.”
