1. Biking through the French Quarter in drenching rain.
2. Cafe au lait and beignets at Cafe du Monde with a friend from college, her first time in New Orleans.
3. Dinner at Court of Two Sisters with her, her brother, and her parents: fresh-baked bread, wine, cornmeal-fried catfish and coleslaw with lump crab meat, and pecan pie for desert.
