...it’s so vague. When I created it, I was thinking of reading more books, reading more news articles, and reading more magazines in general to be more informed about current events and ideas. However, specific goals are much better to attain, because frankly, you actually know when you’ve reached them. Therefore, I added a new goal, reading a book a month.

How I did it: I finished 5 years of engineering school (4 undergrad, 1 grad). It was tough, but the more activities I was doing (instead of sleeping), the more I was learning. Now I have two degrees and can sleep as much as I want! :) Read how I did it…
I applied at 6 schools and got into 4 of them. At first, I thought I was wasting my money with all of the applications, but then I was accepted to Berkeley for Civil and Environmental Engineering, where I will be going in the fall. There wasn’t really a way to tell which ones I would get into for sure, so unfortunately that means applying to more than one school. I believe I made a good decision, and I can’t wait to start. However, there are times when grad school may not be a good decision, such as those detailed here
