I have consolidated 4 credit cards into 2 at 0% interest. And my score is slowly creeping up. I’m glad I finally tackled this.

Wow. What a variety.
I applied (and was rejected) for a debt consolidationlaon about 8 months ago and was crestfallen. They said my credit was wrecked from my recent late payments. I was embarassed, and scared to turn to anyone else for help.
I’ve been paying on all my bills (too many!) steadily since then, even overpaying when I could. I knew it was the only way to make any progress, since I didn’t qualify for any more credit.
Well, it finally paid off. I started getting (decent) gredit offers in the mail again. In the last month they have been much better offers. I finally signed up for 6 months 0%APR and 12.9% after that. I can transfer 2 of my old (high APR) accounts onto it. It will save me at least $70/mo and make paying extra much easier.
It’s a big step! And now my credit score is improving!
