How I did it: I have a job with hours that won't change, and that agree with how I am operating as a human right now. They coincide mostly with my fiance's hours, so we can see each other every day instead of me coming home some nights and not seeing him at all. How I did it: The secret is to use a food processor to pulverize the hell out of the chickpeas. Add half of the can, and a bit of water. Chop them into bits, add the other half and a little more water if it looks like it needs it, chop. Stir with a spoon or fork, give it another whirl. A lot of making hummus is to taste.
