i’ve been “in love” before, or so i thought. i realized my version of love is sometimes jealous and angry. i want to learn to accept myself so i can be open to really experiencing love.

i would have never done it....

if my friend didn’t sign me up! but she was also my workout partner and we spent a few months together training. our lives pretty much revolved around training, so we kept each other on track.
it was also my first triathlon, and my first open water swim, so i had a lot of big accomplishments that day.

my first marathon was miserable. i got blood blisters and when i finally started walking, it was blazing hot outside. however, i pulled through and my finish was amazing. that must have been the one memory i held onto, because i have continued to run marathons for years.
it was totally worth it. being able to say you ran 26.2 miles is a big accomplishment.
