How I did it: Antarctica: The end of the world. One of the most remote locations on the planet and virtually untouched by human hands. How I did it: I drove from California, up to Fairbanks AK. I then followed the unpaved Dalton highway (formerly the Haul Road) north, paralleling the oil pipeline for 500 miles till I reached Deadhorse Alaska. The workers there thought is was really odd to see a Honda Civic with California plates way up there. I took a tour of the oil fields in a yellow school bus.
