Applying for scholarships can be difficult and frustrating especially when the competition is high. My junior year I made it a goal to apply to every scholarship I was legitimately eligible for, it was kind of crazy but the drive and motivation can pay off. In the end I only received one, but it covered a good portion of my tuition for the year so I’m really grateful.

My advice is to look online for national or regional scholarships through third-party websites (there can be a lot of applicants for these though). I’ve had the most success with resources and the financial aid office at my own university and with more local scholarships. Get involved, put effort into your applications, make deadlines early and keep trying you never know what might happen :)
