We own a small sailboat named Piwari. It’s a Maori word meaning dancing over the water. I have been sailing since I was born and have the pictures to prove it. I’ve never got my license though and want to change that.

How I did it: I used to have a garden when I was younger but fell out of practice. Thankfully my mother is an avid flower gardener and was able to help me get started. I planted a variety of veggies from green peppers to sweet tomatoes and lettuces. I made sure to try and water them often and pick off the giant green slugs. I picked them regularly and ate them with great gusto. It was so satisfying to eat something I grew myself. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I kept trying to make time to give blood but often forgot when the blood bank was going to be in my area. I was walking down the street and saw they were in town, made sure I was free and went over. I was very nervous coming in but everyone was incredibly friendly.
