A couple of friends of mine travelled from Russia all the way to China; they loved it. To be honest it has always been something I have wanted to do and travelling from Chengdu to Beijing on a two day train journey definitely made train travel one of my favourite modes of transport. You feel closer to the land you are travelling through and plus you get to meet people as you travel. This is one for me! Thanks for the inspiration Venusian :-).

I finished a masters course last september, been working ever since and my present job, though the pay is ok and I get to use my Italian, does not give me any job satisfaction and is quite boring. This however, has spurred me on to start my own business in Liverpool; me and a friend have a good idea that does not involve enourmous start-up costs. Watch this space, I’ll keep you all posted on how things are going, fingers crossed… :-)
I enjoy writing, have done for the past four or five years. I started to write a fictional story about five, six months ago but stopped for no good reason. I had a good story going, some decent ideas but just stopped. It’s quite hard sometimes from the millions of ideas that whiz through my head to make a coherent story, a flowing piece of writing, but I guess that’s what good writers can do: essentially, they are able to process efficiently and optimally all the ideas that pass through their head, that and being able to tell a good story. Anyone else out there trying to write creatively?
