I’ve known for a while that there’s a local rugby team in my area (which shocked the heck out of me when I first discovered it.) I just decided last week that I was going to join. I weigh all of 145 lbs, so while I love the game, I’ve definitely been afraid to play. I suppose I’ll conclude that I’m either really freaking nuts, or a really fast runner ;) Either way, my first practice went OK and it was fun to be a bit rough and such (no where near real game-level yet) I’m looking forward to playing, games start in January.

A month ago today I proposed to my girlfriend Lara :) Oh, yes, and she accepted! ;) I was very happy that I was actually able to surprise her. I surprised her so much in fact that I was down on one knee for probably about a whole minute before her mind caught up with things and she realized she hadn’t actually said “yes” yet :) It was a great and memorable day and I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together
I have an artichoke growing!! It’s from an Emerald Artichoke plant that I bought at Lowes. The funny thing is I’d only bought this plant to experiment on so I didn’t kill my other plants grown from seed. But I forgot to water all of them for too long, and this one happened to survive better than the rest. I still have two of the ones I grew from seed, but their growth was stunted and they’re both a good month or more behind this plant in development now. I’ll complete this goal once I actually have multiple artichokes growing (and I’m able to eat them!) :)
