Losing Enmeshment 3 years ago

I’ve recently realized that this idea is part of a lingering entanglement with the Christians that hurt me. It has been and still is an issue with me. While I still want something to change I am still bound to it in. Still bound to the pain and still bound to the hope of change. In other words still enmeshed with it. Part of the healing process is to become myself again and not be enmeshed with the emotional problem the occurred in part of my past live. I think I must be healing to see this now for what it is. It is by no means complete but it is getting better.

Healing Christian Wounding 3 years ago

I find I am still dealing with extreme negative thoughts about Christians. I have at least met one Christian that was fairly normal. But even amongst the more tolerant and educated ones I find their ideas to be strange and often disturbing. I think there is something within me that takes offense at people that believe in things that have no basis in reality. Its like an affront to the very fundamental nature of man, that being to understand the natural world around us. While science works to test, hypothesize, and continue to explore, Christians follow an outdated doctrine of pray and the muddled text of anyone of a number of versions of the bible. I think the bible is the worst thing that people should put their faith in, well perhaps not worst. I’m sure the manifestos of madmen would not be so good either. But I think people would be better served by waking up and looking for truth in the things they can touch, see, taste, smell or hear. Those are afterall our primary interface to the world.
