Marathon, triathlon…these are just two of many words I like to throw around. But, when it comes down to following through and actually training and following through on said idea, that’s where I usually get into trouble. It was a worthwhile experience, and I am glad I didn’t talk myself out of it this time. It was only a mini, and I got whipped by all those who were actually training and really athletic (including my kid brother). Still haven’t done the full marathon, but I ran a half with my students last year.

The first year was difficult for me, and I still have days when I want to run away to America (or anywhere that isn’t here). But, I think I just might live here for a long time.
It’s not that I don’t write, it’s just that I have no confidence in the things I’ve written. Forget ever being published. I am far too self-conscious and afraid of failure to ever submit anything anyway.
