I’ve got the recipe I want to use and all the stuff for it.
Particularly some good bakers’ chocolate! This is mostly a reminder
to actually make this thing…

I tried some Indian food today :). The place I visited had a
very nice dining area and a truely yummy buffet. I tried a
drink called a Mango Lassi (Is that the right spelling? Please
forgive me if I mess all these up…). I think I might have
ended up liking that the best (Indian cuisene does sweet stuff
very well :). I tried some Tandori chicken and a couple of
other interesting veggie sauces/dishes. Very flavorful indeed.
I was concerned about the spices melting off my tastebuds, but
it turned out that this was mostly an irrational fear. Alot of
the spices just gave an interesting blend of flavors (and with
the Tandori, they were baked in and sooooo good! :). Their
bread was yummy too.
New flavors of good eats are most definitely worth trying. (I
was not, sadly, brave enough to eat the goat curry type stuff
they had. Someday, maybe…but that’s a big maybe…).
Hi folks. A small update about my progress on this. I’m in
week seven now (Week 4 I think, was interesting…as I had to
cut out my ‘recreational’ reading…funny how I stayed busy
enough for the first few days with various real-life things
that I didn’t even have time to feel deprived…).
I haven’t been able to do every ‘Task’ perfectly, but I’ve
managed to do alot of them. Plus, I’ve been able to take my
Artist Dates and do Morning Pages (I’ve only missed three days
or so of them so far! I’m surprised…).
So, what’s changed?
I think I’m starting to take better care of myself. I used to
not bother so much but now I’m seeing how a simple luxury like
a really nice hand cream or bath gel can be. My hands aren’t
nearly so dry and cracked anymore for one thing (all the better
to work with I suppose…).
I’m getting a little more adventuresome. I’m actually looking
for new places to go for my artist dates :). I’m not someone
who gets out much, goes anywhere, does anything remotely fun or
interesting, but the artist dates have been breaking me out of
my ruts. I’ve darkened the door of several interesting places
that I wouldn’t allow myself into (due to not having funds or
whatever…) and enjoying myself immensely. I’ve learned just
a little about how to listen for where my ‘inner artist’ really
wants/has BEEN wanting to go.
I’ve learned not to talk about this stuff with people who will
make it their business to not understand. I have learned to let
things out in my Morning Pages and…dangit…I write like a
steamroller when I’m upset/passionate about a subject. I
actually started writing something with characters and real
plot in there (somewheres…). It’s not perfect but I could
have something interesting to experiment with there. I’ll have
to see about that…
It’s kind of scary to actually be doing things I’ve only listed
on paper but it’s fun too :). This week’s assignment should be
fun. Yay collages! I’m going to go raid my travel magazines for
pictures :).
