I shattered my ankle almost seven months ago and my goal is to be able to run again like I used to. I have a shit ton of metal in my ankle and it is still consistently swollen but the day I can run, jump, and play ultimate again I am sure I will cry. It will be a great challenge but I am positive I will achieve it. I need to believe in myself and stop being afraid. Soon. I hope. Soon.

So I have been playing ultimate for 3 years now and in the past year I have improved tremendously. I finally found my focus in the game and am to play smart, and now I have a genuine understanding of the game. Unfortunately, I shattered my ankle. BUT when I can play again, I want to get back to where I was and continue to improve. I LOVE ULTI!
About a month ago I completely shattered my ankle. I was at the rock climbing gym bouldering slipped, missed the pad and split my tibia, broke the fibula, and shattered all the little bones in between. I have had two surgeries. I have two months in a cast before I can put any pressure on it. I really fucked up my ankle good but I am a young, strong, resilient individual and I know I gain 100% of the strength in my ankle back! Mind over matter.
