Like Dreki below, I am getting serious about getting out of debt, but I am not counting my student loans because unless I win Powerball, I will be 70 when I finish paying those things off.
I am using an approach I read in a Suze Orman book. Pay the most on the smallest and then as you pay each bill off, you can add what your previous payments are to the next smallest. It makes sense when I read it but not when I explain it.
Any advice is appreciated.

I have been free from nicotine for 103 days. I have decided to check this goal off of my list. I can’t describe the sense of accomplishment I feel because I quit smoking. I was a real smoker: a pack a day for 14 years. I realized that smoking was a mental connection to my youth and that is why I had failed so many times before. I am over it.
I want to thank all of the wonderful people here on 43 Things that gave me support and encouragement when I needed it. You all rock.
Best of luck!

Still smoke-free. I envy those of you who can check this off after a week or two without smoking. I haven’t had a cigarette since Dec. 31st, but I still don’t feel ready to check this off of my list.
I suffered a death in the family this week and did not use it as an excuse to smoke. I now realize that smoking doesn’t cure or alleviate stress. That was just one of my excuses for smoking.
I hope all of you are remaining strong.
