Keep a Grateful Journal. Every day write down 5 things that you are grateful for. For the first little while it may be things like “woke up on time” and “made it home before the rain started” but eventually you’ll see things all around you every day to be grateful for. I kept a journal like this and it worked. It really changes your perspective because it keeps you focused on positive things. Try it, I guarantee it works!

Here's one way to be happy everyday

I’ve found my most profound learning in life has been from mistakes that have cost me BIG TIME. It’s a wonderful thing to strive to live a good life and listening to your “heart” or your “inner voice” and I always try to do this myself. BUT, unfortunately life cannot be lived or enjoyed without regret.
One of my very favorite Neil Young songs has these lyrics:
“nothing is perfect in God’s perfect plan, look in the shadow to see. He only gave us the good things so we’d understand how life without them would be.”
