minor help-age today...

...but it was by far the best one, i think. I was eating lunch in the mall food-court with my friend when an old lady walked up to us, selling pens. She held one up and there was a tag on it that said “I AM DEAF…and trying to earn a decent living. $3. AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU. (insert I Love You sign language symbol picture)” Obviously, I bought one. Like I said, it wasn’t a big deal. 3 bucks. But it made me feel so much better than any other nice thing I’ve ever done. Maybe because it was a disabled person, maybe because the tag with the “and may God bless you” thing really struck me as making her seem really appreciative, or maybe the huge smile she had on her face when i took out my wallet and handed her the 3 bucks. I was amazed at how happy she was because of only 3 dollars. I guess every little thing makes a difference when you can’t have a good paying job. It also struck me as odd that I had only 3 dollars left in my wallet at the time she came up to us….

leave a letter in a library book for someone to find
what a lovely idea...

...but what would i write in the letter?! i considered the option of writing about the book itself, but i find that too, well, boring. i want to do something more interesting; something that one wouldn’t expect to find. a letter about the book itself is too obvious. hmmm…..

learn to love again (read all 2 entries…)
i think you'll be happy to hear...

that i took your advice and talked to the guy! i explained the whole thing, and how i wanted to love him, but i was afraid. he was SO UNDERSTANDING. he said that he loved me enough to help me open myself up to someone again, and that he would wait as long as that took and would never pressure me into anything i couldn’t handle yet.

I CANNOT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH.
