I finally lost the last 5 lb of pregnancy weight this summer (I had gained 51 lb despite eating very healthy and exercising regularly throughout my pregnancy), and best of all, I also lost 2 inches off my waist. It took a LOT of effort, but my son is now 13 months old and I’m in the best shape of my life. I love being a mother AND I also love feeling like myself again!

I gained 51 lb during my pregnancy despite continued exercise and a healthy diet. Even the doctor doesn’t know how/why I gained that much. I never looked bigger than 6 or 7 months pregnant to other people, and I only had a little swelling in my ankles. My blood sugar and blood pressure were always on the low side of normal.
Anyway, it is now 12 weeks since the birth of our beautiful baby boy, and I have lost 40 lb with 11 lb more to go. I would like to be back at my pre-pregnancy weight by New Year’s.
