Learn to cook
Untitled 2 months ago

I’m getting tired of eating the same old stuff day after day. I’ll make it my goal to learn a new recipe every week. I read somewhere that the average person only really uses around ten recipes total, so if I try something new every week in just a few months I should have enough to keep us happy.

So far all I really know how to make is;
Spaghetti Bolognese
Chicken with white wine mushroom sauce
Pasta primavera
Mac and cheese
Urm…burgers
And uhhhm…scrambled eggs?

Doing this won’t be so easy without an oven or grill.

move out
Out on my own (sorta) 2 months ago

It’s pretty sweet to be typing this from the varanda of my own apartment. I moved in with my boyfriend, which wasn’t a big deal since we’d already been living together under my mother’s roof for a year anyway. The place came with a newly remodeled bathroom, two ugly ass sofas, a stove that doesn’t really work and a top of the line fridge.

We’ve got the essentials (beer) and each-other, so its all good.

get a job I actually like
Love Love Love 5 months ago

Next week I’m going to try and see if a private ambulance company might hire me, but right now I’m working a couple of summer jobs. I signed up to three through my dept; lifeguard boat, beach medic and a special program designed for the disabled.

It’s been a blast and at times I forget I’m even getting paid to do this. My favourite is the special program, where we have floating rafts that are used to take the disabled for a swim in the sea. I love it because some of those kids have never experienced waves or a current or even knew the water was salty and it’s cool to see their faces when they find out :)
