i hate the words “give up” in reference to anything. but…i met with my realtor today and we are upside down on our mortgage. officially. like. a lot. so - we’re staying here indefinitely. we are going to see the mortgage guy about the potential for renting this place as an income property and getting another house for us - but it’s not very likely. and definitely not happening by may of this year. so, i’ll add a new home ownership and/or income property management goal to my 43 things list and chalk this one up to a learning experience. i’m not deleting it though. i want to remember how i felt and that i wanted to do this, but that i needed to learn about it and find that it wasn’t possible. YET. not getting down about it, just re-evaluating and adjusting the course.

How I did it: I ordered a stencil for my room, my sisters room and one for the mudroom over the back door. I applied the stencil in my room (see the piccy) and it took FOR-FREAKING-EVER! It was more difficult than I had thought. But! So cool looking. However, we have since decided that we plan to move within the next two years, so we're saving the stencil for the mudroom and my sister's room for the next house. Read how I did it…
How I did it: So, I back-dated the "I did this!" date to July 1, 2011 since that is the date the my promotion officially took effect. I wasn't sure I would love the changes, and I wasn't sure that taking this promotion would fill in the gaps of my needs and wants related to my professional and personal happiness when it came to work. But every day I'm learning more and more about why I really do love my job -- and why it was worth it to explore the cha… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I was waiting to make a final decision on this one until I made up my mind about continuing my counseling degree. Since I've decided not to continue with school at this time (since I got a very nice promotion at work and basically moved into the responsibility and pay range I was aiming for by returning to school), I can say that I completed 50% of a masters degree with 100% A's. I'm still not sure if I'll ever return to graduate work, bu… Read how I did it…

my good friend June has lost 81 pounds so far and she is attributing a HUGE amount of her inspiration/success/excitement/motivation/discipline to her zumba classes and instructor, Penie. this woman sounds amazing and charges only $1 per session. no memberships or “class fees” just—when you come, give a buck. i think this is my chance to find a workout community that might help. i need to get off my tush!
will be the death of me. i love it, but the stress isn’t worth it. goodbye hundred-year-old money-pit/crime-attraction. hello safe, new, good-bones-filled abode. savings and research starts hardcore now.
